The concept of Modistyle is inspired by the life and works of the Italian Impressionist Painter and Sculptor, Amedeo Modigliani who was a contemporary of Picasso, Debussy, Soutine, Utrillo and Kisling.  Picasso revered Modigliani and kept several of his works, it is said that the last word spoken by Picasso just before he died was ‘Modigliani’.  During his life Modigliani never compromised on his simple but beautiful style, like many great artists his work was only recognised after his death, today his works are worth many millions of dollars.
